Charlie’s Eggnog Bread

Did you know you can use Eggnog in baking too? Try out this delicious Eggnog Bread Recipe, provided by Lori Graves from the original 2006 December Moo News!

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbs. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Mace spice
  • 1 1/2 cups Morning Fresh Eggnog
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 Tbs. Rum extract
  • Optional: 3/4 cup chopped pecans and/or 3/4 cup candied mixed fruit

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350F
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients
Step 3
Stir in eggnog, egg, butter and rum extract
Step 4
Fold in optional nuts and/or fruits, if desired
Step 5
Spread mixture into greased loaf pan
Step 6
Bake 1 hour, cool on wire rack, then serve
