Did you know you can use Eggnog in baking too? Try out this delicious Eggnog Bread Recipe, provided by Lori Graves from the original 2006 December Moo News!
Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbs. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. Mace spice
- 1 1/2 cups Morning Fresh Eggnog
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 Tbs. Rum extract
- Optional: 3/4 cup chopped pecans and/or 3/4 cup candied mixed fruit
Directions
- Step 1
- Preheat your oven to 350F
- Step 2
- In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients
- Step 3
- Stir in eggnog, egg, butter and rum extract
- Step 4
- Fold in optional nuts and/or fruits, if desired
- Step 5
- Spread mixture into greased loaf pan
- Step 6
- Bake 1 hour, cool on wire rack, then serve
