Farm Happenings
While we don’t have four-leaf clovers in our fields, we do have triticale! Triticale is a hybrid of wheat and rye that we plant as a cover crop. Our cover crops maintain the biodiversity and resiliency of the soil during the cold months to ensure it is healthy for Springtime, when we begin prepping the fields for corn! 
Healthy soil means healthy food for our happy cows!
On cold and windy days, our calves have full access to food, water, and shelter. To stay warm, you’ll often find them snuggling up with each other. Cows are social animals and enjoy the connection with their fellow calf friends.
